Real Estate Associate — New York

Growing New York office seeks a real estate associate to work closely with a senior real estate lawyer on complex transactions across real estate finance, acquisitions, joint ventures and bankruptcy-related real estate matters. The role offers exposure to corporate and project financings as well as cross-practice collaboration on multi-disciplinary matters.

Day-to-day work includes conducting and managing all phases of real property diligence (including title review), negotiating and facilitating post-closing deliverables, and drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, security instruments, leases and ancillary transaction documents. The team values strong academics, commercial drafting skills and the ability to manage multiple matters.

• Class of 2022 to 2020 real estate associates (candidate cohorts indicated by firm).
• Demonstrated experience in real estate finance, acquisitions and joint ventures.
• Experience conducting full real property diligence, including title review, and managing post-closing deliverables.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for purchase agreements, security instruments, leases and ancillary documents; excellent academic credentials and ability to work across practice groups.
