We are seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate to join a national real estate finance group. The role focuses on debt, debt-like and equity transactions secured by or invested in real estate, with particular emphasis on construction financing and multi-tiered capital structures.

Associates in the group work on lender- and borrower-side matters, structured real estate finance, preferred equity investments and distressed commercial real estate matters. The team offers frequent partner interaction, direct client exposure and a collegial mentoring environment across multiple U.S. offices (including Baltimore, Seattle, Denver and Philadelphia).

Applicants must hold an active bar license in the jurisdiction where they wish to be considered and should demonstrate strong drafting, analytical skills and solid academic credentials.

2–5 years’ post-qualification experience in real estate finance or related transactional practice
Experience with construction financing, multi-tiered capital transactions and debt/debt-like and preferred equity structures
Comfort working on lender- and/or borrower-side matters; experience with structured real estate finance preferred
Active bar admission in the desired office jurisdiction
Strong writing, analytical skills and academic record
