Top-tier U.S. law firm is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate to join its Washington, DC office. The role focuses on representing lenders and other capital providers in commercial real estate financings and related matters.

Work will include conducting title, survey, lease and other commercial property diligence, supporting origination and closing of loans secured by commercial properties, and assisting on related transactions. Exposure to mezzanine financing, CMBS/securitization or loan syndication is advantageous. Associates should expect a varied practice that may include some owner/operator, developer or leasing matters.

The team offers significant lender-side work and collaboration with cross‑functional real estate practitioners in a busy transactional group.

Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial real estate finance or related transactional work
Experience representing banks, insurance companies, debt funds or other lenders in commercial property financings
Solid commercial real estate diligence skills (title, survey, lease review)
Familiarity with loan origination, closing documentation, and secured lending concepts
Exposure to mezzanine loans, CMBS/securitization or syndication is a plus
Strong drafting, communication and teamwork skills
