Regulatory Environmental Associate — Washington, D.C.

Top-tier international law firm seeking a junior-to-mid-level Environmental Associate to join its Washington, D.C. regulatory practice. The role focuses on counseling and representation on federal environmental regulatory matters and related litigation across a range of industries.

Typical matters involve federal environmental programs and regulatory issues related to chemicals, pesticides, consumer products, and emerging contaminants. The position offers hands-on responsibility on matters, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and opportunities to develop regulatory and litigation skills.

• 1–5 years post-qualification experience in environmental law, with knowledge of federal environmental programs
• Experience or interest in regulatory issues involving chemicals, pesticides, consumer products, and/or emerging contaminants
• Environmental litigation experience a plus (researching complex issues, managing discovery, drafting motions)
• Strong drafting and analytical skills, excellent academics, and proven ability to work collaboratively and take responsibility for matters
