Apply in confidence →Join a market-leading fintech and financial services regulatory team in Austin as a junior to mid-level associate. The role focuses on payments, licensing, supervisory examinations, and government enforcement matters across the consumer financial services space.
You will support senior attorneys and clients by conducting legal research, preparing licensing applications and multi-state surveys, managing document review/productions, and drafting memoranda, client correspondence, and enforcement-response materials. The position offers regular collaboration on preparation for government meetings and drafting related presentations and talking points.
The team values collegiality, structured training and mentoring, and exposure to innovative regulatory work for clients across the financial services ecosystem.
- Juris Doctor and membership in the applicable State Bar (ability to practice in the hiring office required).
- 2–4 years’ post-qualification experience in regulatory, licensing, and/or government enforcement work; payments and consumer financial services experience preferred.
- Experience with licensing applications, multi-state surveys, document production, and regulatory investigations/examinations.
- Strong legal research, writing, project-management, and client-communication skills; ability to manage multiple assignments and work both independently and collaboratively.
