Senior Appellate Counsel — Litigation, Los Angeles

Experienced appellate lawyer needed to join a national trial and defense litigation practice handling appeals and post-trial matters in state and federal courts. The role covers catastrophic injury, commercial and business disputes, insurance coverage and bad-faith, class actions and mass torts, government and public-entity liability, civil rights, and transportation litigation.

Day-to-day responsibilities include complex legal research and analysis, drafting appellate briefs and memoranda, reviewing trial records, preparing pleadings and motions, and presenting oral argument. The position will also involve supervising and mentoring associates and paralegals and managing multiple time-sensitive matters.

• Admission to the California Bar
• 15+ years of appellate litigation experience
• Proven appellate writing and oral advocacy skills; experience framing issues under appellate standards of review
• Experience supervising associates and working with paralegals
• Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive and highly sensitive matters
• Appellate Law Specialist certification preferred
