A national competition & regulatory team is seeking a Senior Associate to work on high‑profile merger, joint venture and contentious competition matters. The role offers regular exposure to investigations, litigation and regulatory work for major Australian and international corporates across a broad range of industries.

The team operates nationally and is collaborative and partner‑led, with structured supervision and opportunities to take lead responsibility on matters. The role is ideally Sydney‑based, but candidates based in Melbourne or Canberra will be considered.

This is an opportunity to develop a market‑leading competition practice, mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development and client relationships.

0–4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in competition / consumer law
Experience with regulatory investigations and contentious matters under Part IV of the Competition and Consumer Act and the Australian Consumer Law highly regarded
Previous law firm or regulator experience (top‑tier firm experience preferred)
Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills; ability to lead matters, engage with clients and mentor junior lawyers
