Senior Associate — Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss (Manchester)

Senior associate level role within a national catastrophic injury and large loss team based in Manchester. The team acts for insurer and self‑insured commercial clients on high‑value and complex personal injury and large loss matters, including cross‑border elements.

You will assist partners on complex, high‑value files while managing your own caseload. Work includes liability and coverage investigations, quantum assessment, witness evidence, medical record review, interlocutory proceedings, CCMCs and client reporting. The team operates in a collaborative, flexible environment with hybrid working.

• Required: circa 5+ years PQE in personal injury/insurance litigation (PQE level indicative; all suitable candidates considered)
• Experience of catastrophic personal injury and large loss claims (motor, employer’s/public liability, equestrian and cross‑border matters advantageous)
• Strong technical litigation skills — drafting, disclosure, witness statements, medical report interpretation and court timetables
• Client‑facing experience with proven ability to meet SLAs, produce MI and manage client relationships
• Ability to manage a varied caseload, work collaboratively, and support business development and team initiatives
