Senior Associate — Competition & Consumer Law Disputes, Melbourne

Senior‑level role in Melbourne within a top international competition, regulation and trade disputes team. The role focuses on high‑profile, complex competition and consumer law litigation and regulator engagements, including enforcement matters, merger‑related disputes and consumer protection proceedings.

You will lead contentious matters and investigations, managing strategy from early risk assessment through to trial, and act for major domestic and international clients across sectors such as consumer goods, retail, technology, media, telecommunications and financial services.

The team is nationally integrated and offers exposure to multi‑jurisdictional work, structured development, mentoring responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to business development and innovation initiatives.

• Proven experience as a senior associate in a competition/antitrust or disputes practice, with hands‑on experience in competition and consumer law matters.
• Experience handling regulator investigations and enforcement proceedings (including responding to notices and investigations).
• Strong litigation and advocacy skills, commercial judgment and technical expertise in competition and consumer law.
• Ability to manage and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development; interest in legal technology and emerging issues such as AI.
