Join a busy regional construction practice as a Senior Associate focusing primarily on non-contentious construction and engineering work, with opportunities to assist on contentious matters. The role sits across the Bristol/Exeter/Cheltenham offices and supports a mix of public- and private-sector clients on regional and national projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and advising on contract terms, drafting and negotiating appointments and ancillary documents, and liaising with clients and project teams. Work covers high-value projects across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, health, education and commercial development.

The team offers a collaborative, flexible working environment with a clear focus on professional development and business development support.

  • At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in Construction & Engineering law.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation experience across standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and bespoke construction/energy documents, plus ancillary documents (collateral warranties, bonds, guarantees).
  • Experience advising across more than one sector and comfortable acting for employer/clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills; commercial, proactive approach and ability to manage high-value, complex files.
