Senior Associate — Construction (Non‑contentious) | Birmingham

Join a large international practice as a Senior Associate in a non‑contentious construction and engineering team. The role involves advising on major energy, infrastructure and built‑environment projects, working across regional and international matters and collaborating with disputes, sector and product groups.

You will take ownership of your own matters, provide day‑to‑day technical and commercial advice on NEC, FIDIC and/or JCT contracts, support junior colleagues and contribute to business development and team strategy.

The team acts for public bodies, contractors and multinational corporates on significant, complex projects; the role offers cross‑jurisdictional exposure, structured professional development and flexible working options.

• Qualified solicitor with approximately 4 years’ post‑qualification experience in non‑contentious construction law.
• Proven technical experience on a range of construction and engineering projects; familiarity with NEC, FIDIC and/or JCT standard forms.
• Strong drafting, commercial judgement and client‑facing skills; ability to manage your own matters and to mentor more junior team members.
• Organised, pragmatic approach and demonstrable business development mindset; excellent communication and teamwork.
