Apply in confidence →Experienced construction professional indemnity lawyer sought on a fixed-term contract to provide parental-leave cover for a market-leading disputes team. The role offers significant responsibility managing complex, high-value contentious matters and contributing to strategic case development.
Work will focus on defending and advising construction professionals (contractors, engineers, architects, project managers, surveyors) and their insurers on errors & omissions, defects and related financial disputes. The role includes client-facing work, mentoring junior fee-earners and collaborating with an international practice; remote location outside London may be considered.
- Typically 5+ PQE in construction-related professional indemnity / contentious construction work (PQE guidance — all suitable candidates considered)
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with a valid practising certificate (Training Contract or equivalent)
- Proven experience handling construction PI, defects and errors & omissions disputes; strong litigation skills
- Client-facing experience, ability to manage high-value matters and supervise/mentor junior team members
- Flexible on location; able to cover London market and work with international colleagues; remote working possible subject to client needs
