Senior Associate — Corporate M&A, Melbourne

An opportunity exists to join a market-leading Corporate, M&A and Capital Markets team in Melbourne. The role offers hands-on responsibility on a broad range of corporate matters including mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate governance, board advisory and securities work, with exposure to both domestic and cross-border deals.

You will work closely with experienced partners and deal teams on structuring, drafting and negotiating transactions and will be involved on high-profile, complex matters that shape industries. The team supports professional development, mentoring and client-facing experience.

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2 years PQE; Senior Associate level candidates (5+ PQE) are welcome to apply.
• Proven experience in Corporate M&A; exposure to private equity and securities matters advantageous.
• Strong academic record, commercial judgment and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities on complex transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and interpersonal skills; for Senior Associates, evidence of leading matters, coaching junior lawyers and contributing to business development.
