Senior Associate / Counsel, Competition — Melbourne

Join a market‑leading competition, regulation and trade team in Melbourne advising on high‑profile and complex competition, consumer and regulatory matters. The team handles cartel and behavioural investigations, enforcement and litigation, merger clearance work and regulatory strategy across multiple sectors including telecommunications, technology, energy, resources, financial institutions and infrastructure.

The role offers exposure to both advisory and contentious work, cross‑jurisdictional matters and opportunities to work closely with a national and international practice. You'll join a collaborative group with structured learning, mentoring and career development support.

• Current Senior Associate or Counsel level in private practice or relevant regulator experience in Australia.
• Substantial experience in competition and/or consumer and regulatory law, with both advisory and contentious experience preferred.
• Strong academic record and commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage competing priorities and engage constructively with clients and internal stakeholders.
