Apply in confidence →Senior Associate opportunity within a busy Environment & Sustainable Development team in Perth. The role focuses on environmental, planning and Aboriginal heritage law across State and Federal regulatory regimes, supporting project approvals, regulatory advice, and contentious matters including tribunal and court work.
You will advise private and public sector clients on project approvals and compliance for major resource, renewables, infrastructure, industrial and property developments, identify and manage regulatory risk, engage with assessment bodies and consultants, and assist with litigation and judicial review where required.
This is a hands-on senior role with opportunities to lead matters, mentor junior lawyers, work across interdisciplinary project teams and contribute to policy and legislative reform initiatives. The team offers structured development and exposure to complex, high-profile regulatory work.
- 1–2+ years' post-qualification experience at senior associate level, with a broad environmental law background and experience in planning, Aboriginal cultural heritage or native title matters.
- Strong legislative interpretation, analytical and drafting skills, with attention to detail.
- Experience in tribunal or court processes (State Administrative Tribunal, Supreme or Federal Court) advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor junior lawyers, work autonomously and as part of a team, and contribute to business development.
