Senior Associate — Financial, Casualty & Political Risk Insurance — London

We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Associate to join a London-based insurance disputes team focusing on financial lines, casualty and political risk. The role involves advising insurers, reinsurers and financial institutions on coverage and dispute resolution across warranties & indemnity (W&I), political risk and other transaction liability products.

The post-holder will handle complex, often cross-border, claims and contribute to litigation or arbitration strategy. The role includes managing matters from coverage analysis through to dispute resolution, mentoring junior lawyers and supporting business development for the practice.

• 3+ years' PQE with demonstrable experience in insurance disputes or financial lines work.
• Practical experience advising on W&I (warranties & indemnity) insurance claims or similar transaction liability disputes.
• Experience of political risk, casualty or cross-border insurance claims preferred.
• Strong litigation, analytical and drafting skills and experience working with insurer/reinsurer clients.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to supervise junior fee-earners.
