Join a national healthcare regulatory team based in Manchester handling regulatory, disciplinary and inquest work for a broad range of healthcare clients, including insurers, medical defence organisations, private providers and professional bodies. The role involves managing a complex, varied caseload and working closely with specialists across related disciplines (clinical liability, data, inquests, CQC matters and criminal defence for healthcare professionals).

The team operates a hybrid pattern (minimum two days in the office) and promotes collaboration across a national practice. Typical assignments include defending professionals and organisations before statutory regulators and in disciplinary and investigative proceedings.

The role carries an expectation of strong fee-earning performance and offers development opportunities within a large, multidisciplinary healthcare group.

Qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate (England & Wales) and completion of a training contract or equivalent.
Approximately 7 years' PQE in healthcare regulation (PQE guidance — all suitable candidates will be considered).
Proven experience running regulatory and disciplinary matters for healthcare professionals or organisations.
Experience of inquests, CQC investigations or criminal matters for healthcare clients desirable but not essential.
Strong drafting, case-management and client-facing skills; able to handle a high-volume, complex caseload and work collaboratively across teams.
