Senior Associate / Legal Director — Catastrophic Injury, London (hybrid)

An established, nationally recognised insurance defence team is seeking a Senior Associate / Legal Director to join its Catastrophic Injury practice in London (hybrid) with an option to be based in Manchester. The role will involve leading complex, high-value defendant work across motor, employers' liability and public liability claims involving life-changing injuries.

The post-holder will shape case strategy on sensitive and high-profile matters, mentor junior lawyers, manage multi-disciplinary case teams and work closely with internal experts on cross-border and quantum issues. The team uses modern processes and technology to drive efficiency and deliver commercially focused outcomes for insurer and corporate clients.

• Approximately 8+ years’ post-qualification experience in catastrophic injury / serious injury defence.
• Proven defendant-side claims handling experience across motor, employers’ liability and public liability matters.
• Sound knowledge of Ogden tables and assessment of future losses.
• Experience working on large, complex cases within a team and strong written and oral advocacy/communication skills.
