Senior Associate — Leveraged Finance / Private Credit, Chicago

Senior associate opportunity in a national finance practice based in Chicago. The role focuses on leveraged finance and private credit matters, working on sponsor-backed acquisition financings, multi-lender and syndicated facilities, unitranche and first-out/last-out structures, and senior/mezzanine financings.

Candidates will lead deal teams, manage client and opposing counsel interactions, draft and negotiate financing documentation (including intercreditor and subordination arrangements), and handle refinancings, liability-management transactions, and cross-border/multi-currency matters in a fast-paced environment.

• 5–7 years' transactional experience in leveraged finance or private credit.
• Experience representing lenders, private credit funds, BDCs or non-bank lenders on sponsor-backed and syndicated transactions.
• Familiarity with unitranche/first-out–last-out structures, mezzanine/subordinated financings, cash-flow and asset-based lending, and intercreditor mechanics.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, project management skills and comfort interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel.
