Apply in confidence →Top-tier U.S. law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Executive Compensation practice. The role is open in Charleston with flexibility across multiple U.S. offices. The hire will work on executive compensation and employee benefits matters for public company clients and sophisticated private transactions.
Typical matters include public company executive compensation disclosures, employee benefits aspects of M&A and private equity transactions, tax-qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, executive employment and severance arrangements, and equity and non-equity incentive plans. The position requires significant client contact and responsibility for managing matters.
Candidates should be self-starters who can work independently and collaboratively, with strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in executive compensation and employee benefits (public company experience preferred)
- Experience with executive compensation disclosures, equity and non-equity incentive plans, and retirement plans
- Experience advising on employee benefits aspects of M&A and private equity transactions
- Proven client-facing skills, strong drafting and communication abilities, and the ability to manage matters independently and as part of a team
