Senior Associate / Senior Counsel, Commercial Litigation — Austin

An established national law firm seeks a senior commercial litigator for its Austin office. The role will focus on complex commercial disputes, with a preference for candidates who have handled healthcare, life sciences, or education-related litigation.

The successful candidate will handle all phases of litigation including investigations, discovery, pleadings, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and client counseling. Experience in state and federal court is preferred; administrative proceedings and arbitration experience are a plus.

Applicants must be able to obtain or hold a Texas bar license promptly and demonstrate strong writing, advocacy, and teamwork skills. The firm offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Senior Associate: approximately 6 years' litigation experience; Senior Counsel: approximately 8 years' litigation experience
• Proven experience across phases of complex commercial litigation (discovery, motions, depositions, mediations)
• Preference for candidates with healthcare or life sciences litigation experience
• Familiarity with state and federal court practice; administrative and arbitration experience beneficial
• Strong writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple matters and articulate strategy
• Second-chair trial/arbitration experience preferred but not required; federal clerkship preferred but not required
• Must hold Texas bar license or commit to obtaining one promptly
