Opportunity for an experienced commercial litigator to join a busy disputes team in Sydney focused on professional and financial services litigation, acting for insurers, professional firms and other commercial clients.

The role involves running defence matters in the Supreme and Federal Courts (and appellate work), providing strategic advice on insurance and professional indemnity issues, appearing in court as required, and supervising and developing junior lawyers. You will also contribute to business development, knowledge resources and firm-wide learning programs.

Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in commercial litigation
Experience in insurance litigation, insurance coverage or professional indemnity matters preferred
Proven experience conducting court work in the Supreme and Federal Courts (and appellate exposure advantageous)
Track record supervising and coaching junior lawyers and contributing to team knowledge
Strong client-facing, written and oral advocacy skills; proactive commercial approach
Admission to practise in Australia
