Apply in confidence →Seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join a national Energy, Resources & Infrastructure practice in Brisbane. The role focuses on corporate and private M&A transactional work across energy transition (renewables, storage, carbon projects), oil & gas, hydrogen, electricity generation/transmission, resources infrastructure and major government projects.
You will work with a busy team of transactional lawyers on complex, market-leading matters across a project’s lifecycle, delivering commercial, pragmatic advice and drafting key transaction documents, contracts and due diligence materials.
The firm values collaboration, client service and business development; this role offers scope to contribute to practice development, team management and industry engagement while building a specialist energy and infrastructure capability.
- Established corporate/M&A experience gained in a law firm or in-house environment; experience in energy, resources or infrastructure is preferred (or a strong interest to move into the sector).
- Proven drafting and technical skills (agreements, deeds, contracts, diligence reports and legal advice).
- Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills; commercial and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Strong client service orientation, team focus and willingness to participate in business development and practice-building activities.
- Eligibility to work in Australia (must hold required visas/approvals if not an Australian citizen or permanent resident).
