Apply in confidence →Join a national general insurance practice as a Senior Associate or Special Counsel based in Brisbane. The team handles indemnity, defence and recoveries work for major insurer clients and manages high-value property and construction insurance matters.
You will run your own files with partner supervision, handling first-party indemnity disputes, property damage defence matters and high-quantum recoveries. Day-to-day responsibilities include client strategy, evidence and document preparation, drafting court documents and advices, briefing counsel and attending court.

- Minimum 5 years post-admission experience in general insurance law, with substantial exposure to property/construction recoveries and liability defence acting for insurers.
- Proven experience managing files through court proceedings and preparing court documents, evidence and briefs for counsel.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers or paralegals and working effectively within a team.
- Excellent technical, analytical, drafting and communication skills, with strong organisation and prioritisation ability.
