Top-tier US law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its growing Real Estate team. The role is open to candidates for offices in New York or Washington, D.C.

Ideal candidates will have strong commercial "dirt" real estate experience — including acquisitions and dispositions — and solid borrower-side finance experience. The team advises on high-value, complex commercial real estate matters across the full transactional lifecycle.

Applicants should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong academic credentials, and well-developed law firm experience consistent with a federal or major-market practice.

Minimum ~6 years of law firm real estate experience
Substantive commercial real estate experience (acquisitions/dispositions)
Experience on borrower-side real estate financings
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
