Senior Associate — Tax (Sydney)

Senior-associate level role in a national Tax team based in Sydney, working principally on income tax matters across transactional and controversy work. You will partner with senior lawyers across the national practice and advise on technically complex, commercially driven matters for leading Australian and global corporates.

Work will include tax advisory for transactions and projects, managing disputes and ATO engagement (including rulings, audits and reviews), and collaborating with other practice groups such as M&A, Banking & Finance, Funds, Real Estate and Dispute Resolution to deliver integrated solutions.

• Significant tax experience, preferably gained at a large or specialist tax practice.
• Experience in advisory and transactional tax work and/or tax controversy (audits, objections, litigation or transfer pricing).
• Proven ability to manage matters autonomously and work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial judgment, client-facing experience and commitment to mentoring and professional development.
