This firm is a global law practice with more than 3,500 lawyers across 52 offices, serving clients in the technology, energy, and financial services sectors. The Corporate division provides integrated advice throughout the business lifecycle, including capital formation, M&A, listings, compliance, and governance. The Knowledge & Expertise function supports lawyers with research, training, and practice guidance.

We are seeking an experienced Hong Kong-qualified lawyer to join our Corporate team as a Senior Expertise Lawyer. In this role, you will develop and drive the practice group's expertise function, working closely with the Head of Corporate (Asia) and the broader APAC knowledge team. You will be the sole expertise lawyer in our Hong Kong office, supporting the Corporate team on an informal basis for office-wide training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing an annual expertise plan aligned with the practice and firm strategy.
Creating and maintaining know-how resources, standard documents, and practice guidance.
Monitoring legal, regulatory, and industry developments to inform partners, fee earners, and clients.
Leading training programs, onboarding for new lawyers, and mentoring junior associates.
Supporting business development initiatives such as webinars, boardroom lunches, and external publications.
Championing the adoption of new technologies, including GenAI, to enhance legal service delivery and knowledge sharing.

Qualified in Hong Kong
Technically excellent with experience as an associate or senior associate
Range of experience across Hong Kong corporate matters, including equity capital markets, public and private M&A, listed company compliance, and corporate governance
English and Mandarin language skills
Strong written and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Proactive, client-focused, and able to build trusted relationships with partners
Passionate about developing lawyers and sharing knowledge
Comfortable with change and open to adopting emerging technologies, including GenAI
