Senior Lawyer — Public Sector Litigation, Canberra

Experienced lawyer sought to join a public sector litigation team within a national advisory, risk and regulation practice in Canberra. The role involves advising on administrative law, merits and judicial review, regulatory and statutory interpretation issues, information privacy and access matters, and related dispute resolution.

You will work on a mix of government and commercial litigation matters, including inquiries, commissions and inquests, and provide proactive advice on decision‑making, compliance and enforcement risk. The team acts for Commonwealth and state government clients as well as private sector bodies.

This is a hands‑on role within a cohesive, specialist public sector team, with opportunities to develop client relationships and mentor junior lawyers.

• Minimum of 3 years PQE with demonstrable experience in public sector/administrative law.
• Experience in litigation and merits or judicial review matters; commercial litigation experience advantageous.
• Strong drafting, statutory interpretation and advocacy skills; excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively; strong stakeholder and client relationship skills.
