Senior / Principal Associate — Construction (London)

Join a national construction team advising on non-contentious matters across development, infrastructure, real estate and process-plant projects. The role focuses on drafting and negotiating standard construction contracts and associated development and financing documentation for employer/developer clients, with exposure to contractor-side work where relevant.

The team handles major UK projects from inception to completion, offering strategic procurement and risk-allocation advice and working alongside specialists on remediation, environmental and technical issues. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-performing practice and to mentor junior colleagues, with flexibility for candidates who wish to mix non-contentious and some contentious work.

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with substantial construction law experience (senior/principal associate level).
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating standard forms (e.g. JCT/NEC) and development/process-plant documentation.
• Experience advising on employer/developer-side transactions; contractor/supply-side experience also valuable.
• Strong commercial drafting, project management skills and ability to mentor junior team members.
• Comfortable handling a mix of non-contentious work and occasional dispute-related matters.
