Senior/Principal Construction Associate — Birmingham (also open to Leeds)

Senior non-contentious construction role within a national construction team advising on development, infrastructure, remediation and process-plant projects. You will work on commercial and contractual matters for a mix of developer/employer-side clients and occasionally contractor/supply-side matters.

The role involves advising on standard construction forms and related project documentation, supporting major scheme delivery from inception to completion, and collaborating with contentious colleagues where disputes arise. The team regularly handles procurement strategy, risk allocation, remediation and the use of digital/offsite construction techniques.

This position offers scope to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a high-performing, multi-office construction practice. Candidates with either private practice or in-house construction experience will be considered.

• Established senior associate/principal-level experience in non-contentious construction law.
• Strong knowledge of standard forms (JCT, NEC) and development agreements; experience with process-plant and project documentation desirable.
• Experience advising developer/employer-side clients; contractor/supply-side experience also valued.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and to work collaboratively with contentious specialists when required.
