An established UK employment team is seeking an experienced senior solicitor to join its HR/employee-relations group based in Birmingham. The role combines contentious and advisory work, supporting employers on a wide range of workplace issues and playing a visible part in growing the practice.

You will work alongside senior fee-earners on high‑profile and large-scale projects, handling Employment Tribunal defence, redundancy and consultation programmes, disciplinary and grievance matters, discrimination and whistleblowing issues, and related industrial relations work. There are opportunities to contribute to business development, training and client updates.

Qualified solicitor with 5+ years' post‑qualification experience in employment law
Proven experience managing a mixed caseload of contentious and non‑contentious matters
Experience of Employment Tribunal work and large‑scale change/restructure projects
Strong technical knowledge of UK employment law, attention to detail and good commercial judgment
Good communication, time‑management skills and a collaborative team approach; interest in business development
