Senior Solicitor — Insurance (London)

Senior solicitor role within a specialist Insurance team in London focused on complex coverage, defence and reinsurance matters. The role involves managing high-value disputes, advising insurers and reinsurers on policy interpretation and indemnity issues, and supporting strategic reinsurance work including international matters and liaison with foreign local counsel.

The post-holder will work closely with senior lawyers on technically demanding cases, contribute to client relationship management and business development, and supervise and develop junior team members. The role combines advisory and contentious work, with responsibility for drafting technical pleadings and managing cases to budget and service-level expectations.

• Qualified solicitor with approximately 6 years' PQE (or equivalent experience)
• Strong insurance litigation, policy coverage and defence experience
• Practical experience of reinsurance disputes and advisory work
• Commercial awareness, excellent legal drafting and analytical skills
• Experience managing cases, working with local counsel on international matters and supervising junior lawyers
