Join a national claims team handling data-breach and cyber-related defence work for insurers and corporate defendants. The role covers pre‑emptive advisory work, investigation and management of litigated and pre‑litigation claims, and preparation of defences through to trial where required.

You will manage a varied caseload including individual data incidents, data subject access matters and multi‑claim cyber incidents, drafting court documents, supervising disclosure of sensitive material, and providing commercially aware client advice. Training and support will be provided by senior specialists.

  • Qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with civil litigation experience (data‑breach experience helpful but not essential)
  • Experience handling litigated and pre‑litigation claims: drafting court documents, disclosure, witness preparation and attendance at hearings/trials
  • Ability to give clear, commercially aware written and oral advice on sensitive matters and to handle confidential information in line with data‑security protocols
  • Organised case/file management skills and experience supervising junior staff or paralegals
  • Willingness to support business development activities and to meet a budgeted chargeable hours target (circa 1,440 hours per year)
