Join a well-established national law firm’s Public Law & Human Rights team as an Education Solicitor. You will manage your own caseload focused on education law (particularly SEND tribunal work), supervise junior colleagues and contribute to the continued development of the team’s reputation.

The role offers a varied mix of privately and publicly funded matters including tribunal appeals, school exclusions, admissions, disability discrimination and education-related judicial review. You will advise families and education providers, deliver training and written guidance, and take a proactive role in relationship-building and business development.

The team supports hybrid working and a range of wellbeing and development initiatives. The post is client-facing and will involve working with vulnerable clients, so resilience, clear communication and a client-first approach are essential.

  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 2–8 years PQE.
  • Solid experience in education law, especially SEND tribunal appeals and tribunal advocacy.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision and to supervise/mentor junior colleagues.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience delivering training, writing articles or guidance desirable.
  • Comfortable working with vulnerable clients and handling sensitive matters; proactive on business development and stakeholder engagement.
