Special Counsel — Liability (Sydney)

Senior-level litigation role within a national liability defence team based in Sydney. The role covers a broad, complex caseload including personal injury, public and products liability, property damage and recovery claims, with work for domestic and London-market insurers.

The team comprises Special Counsel, Senior Associates and Associates supported by paralegals and legal support staff. This is a hybrid, full-time permanent role requiring an experienced litigator who can manage a heavy caseload, provide technical insurance defence advice and mentor junior lawyers.

• Minimum 10 years' PQE in liability, casualty or general insurance litigation
• Proven courtroom experience across State and Federal Courts
• Demonstrable ability to manage your own caseload and prioritise competing matters
• Strong written and oral advocacy and client-facing skills
• Ability to lead, mentor junior team members and work collaboratively
• Commercial mindset and motivation to develop within a specialist insurance litigation practice
