Top-tier New York office seeks a Special Counsel to join its Real Estate practice. The role involves advising on real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures across a range of commercial transactions.

Ideal candidates will have substantial finance or debt/equity experience and prior exposure to complex transactional work at a peer law firm. Strong academic credentials and demonstrated technical ability are required.

Demonstrable experience in real estate finance and commercial real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures).
Experience advising for borrowers and/or lenders preferred; debt or equity-focused experience a plus.
Previous experience at a comparable law firm and strong academic record.
