Staff Attorney — Consumer Financial Services Litigation (Los Angeles or San Francisco)

Mid-level, non-partnership track staff attorney opportunity in a national U.S. law firm’s consumer financial services litigation group. The role is based in Los Angeles or San Francisco and focuses on defending and prosecuting consumer finance and mortgage-related matters in federal and state courts.

The team handles cases under statutes such as the Truth in Lending Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act, as well as claims under state unfair and deceptive practices laws. The position requires hands-on litigation experience, strong written and oral advocacy, and the ability to manage discovery and motion practice.

• 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably with consumer finance or mortgage litigation
• Familiarity with TILA, FDCPA, FCRA, ECOA and state UDAP/UDAP-equivalent claims
• Active California bar admission required
• Strong written and verbal communication and client-service skills; able to work independently and as part of a team
