Staff Attorney — Mass Torts / Consumer Protection Litigation, California (Remote-Eligible)

National law firm seeks a Staff Attorney to join a mass torts practice focusing on consumer protection litigation defense for manufacturers. The role handles all phases of litigation — discovery, depositions, motions practice, and trial — across state and federal courts and arbitration.

You will assess case materials, prepare detailed evaluations, perform damages and settlement analyses, manage assigned matters with autonomy, and produce concise reports for legal teams and clients. The position supports collaboration with experienced litigators and cross-office teams. The firm is open to remote, part-time, or flexible-hour arrangements; periodic travel for court appearances is required.

• Licensed and in good standing in California (candidates may be located elsewhere)
• Minimum of 3 years’ litigation experience (warranty defense, insurance defense, product liability, or financial services litigation preferred)
• Proven experience with discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation
• Strong analytical skills, including experience calculating damages and settlement scenarios
• Ability to manage a multi-file caseload with limited supervision and to work collaboratively across teams
• Excellent written and oral communication; comfort interfacing with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
• Familiarity with database/portal systems and SharePoint preferred; willingness to travel as needed
