Apply in confidence →Growing national law firm seeks a transactional tax associate to join its Tax practice supporting the Energy, Infrastructure & Project Finance group. The role focuses on partnership and corporate federal income tax issues in transactional matters, with an emphasis on energy projects and tax-advantaged structures.
The team advises sponsors, investors, utilities, and contractors on complex energy financings and development projects. The position is open to candidates based in Washington, D.C.; strong candidates in other U.S. cities where the firm has offices will be considered.
Knowledge of energy tax credits and experience applying federal income tax principles in a transactional setting are strongly preferred. Applications should include resume, cover letter, and law school transcript.
- 2–4 years of transactional tax experience at a law firm
- Experience with partnership and corporate tax in a transactional context; familiarity with energy tax credits preferred
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Admission and good standing in the state bar where the candidate resides
- Resume, cover letter, and law school transcript required
