A well-regarded international law firm is seeking a Technology Lawyer to join its Brisbane Digital Economy Transactions team. The role is client-facing and covers a broad range of technology matters including software/systems, cloud, data and privacy, cyber security, commercial technology agreements and complex outsourcing arrangements.

The team advises on national and cross-border technology work and offers flexible work arrangements, robust learning and development support, parental leave and wellbeing benefits. This role is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated technology and data matters within a collaborative, specialist practice.

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in technology, privacy or cyber-focused legal practice.
  • Proven experience with technology transactions and commercial contracting; strong negotiation skills.
  • Practical knowledge of privacy, data security and cyber regulatory issues; experience with Queensland IT contracting frameworks, Security of Critical Infrastructure Act or APRA CPS 230 is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and a commercial, client-focused approach.
