Technology Transactions Associate — Chicago (mid-level)

Established national law firm seeks a mid-level Technology Transactions Associate to join its Chicago office, with opportunities across select U.S. offices. The role focuses on technology-driven deals, advising on intellectual property and AI-related issues within M&A and private equity transactions.

Day-to-day work includes conducting IP and transactional due diligence, negotiating and drafting commercial agreements and software licenses, and managing complex, tech-forward matters. Candidates will collaborate with cross-office deal teams on sophisticated transactions; experience with data privacy and cybersecurity matters is a plus.

• 3–6 years' post-qualification transactional experience, including technology transactions and IP-related work
• Experience advising on IP and AI matters in M&A or private equity contexts; due diligence and document negotiation experience
• Strong drafting and commercial-contracting skills, including software licensing
• Bar admission in the preferred office jurisdiction required
• Familiarity with data privacy/cybersecurity is preferred; excellent teamwork and client-service skills
