Transport Regulatory Solicitor — Birmingham (2–6 PQE)

Join a growing regulatory team advising major transport, logistics and fleet operators on high‑consequence, privately funded transport regulatory matters. The role sits within a broader regulatory practice and offers the chance to develop a specialism in operator licensing, Traffic Commissioner hearings and related investigations.

Day‑to‑day work includes preparing cases for hearings, taking witness statements, conducting investigations, responding to regulatory inspections, delivering internal privileged investigations and training, and representing operators at a range of hearings. The role involves regular client contact and some nationwide travel for hearings and site visits.

• Qualified solicitor with 2–6 years' PQE
• Experience or strong interest in transport regulatory work, operator licensing and regulatory defence
• Excellent drafting, organisational and time‑management skills; attention to detail
• Advocacy skills or willingness to develop advocacy; comfortable with client-facing work and presenting to boards
• Experience handling complex caseloads under pressure and conducting privileged investigations (desirable)
• Comfortable with occasional nationwide travel, including by car
