Leading international law firm is seeking an associate for its Venture & Growth Finance subgroup, to be based in New York with flexibility to consider candidates across certain California offices. The role focuses on lender-side commercial finance matters, including loans to technology, life‑sciences and middle‑market companies.

Associates will handle legal research and drafting, support and manage complex transactions from diligence through closing, coordinate with internal teams and external clients, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and firm procedures. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with regular office presence.

Candidates must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where they will office and will participate in professional development, firm citizenship and pro bono initiatives.

JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the relevant state
Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience — lender-side commercial finance experience required
Experience representing banks and/or private credit funds on loans to technology, life‑sciences or middle‑market companies preferred
Strong legal research, drafting, analytical and client‑management skills; ability to work collaboratively and manage transactions to closing
Direct and applicable experience at a large AmLaw‑level firm is preferred
