Workers' Compensation Associate — Providence, RI

Well-established national law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate to join its Providence, RI office. The role focuses on defending employers, insurance carriers and third‑party administrators in all phases of workers' compensation litigation.

Typical work includes case development, discovery, taking depositions, and representing clients before the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board and at trial when required. The team handles a mix of routine and high‑exposure matters across orthopedic, internal medicine, psychiatric/stress and complex injury claims.

• 1–7 years' relevant workers' compensation litigation experience.
• Admission to the Rhode Island Bar required.
• Demonstrated experience taking depositions and appearing before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
• Strong litigation skills: discovery, motion practice and trial preparation; experience defending carriers/employers preferred.
