Senior litigation operations role supporting the Managing Attorney in a large firm office. The role focuses on California state and federal filing and calendaring practices, providing procedural guidance to litigators and ensuring docket and filing accuracy across matters.

Key responsibilities include reviewing court filings for procedural compliance, performing legal research on motion and filing practice, managing electronic and hard-copy case filings (CM/ECF and California state systems), and supervising other members of the Managing Attorney’s office.

The position requires close interaction with attorneys, court staff and vendors, and includes quality-control of docket entries, deadline calculation and notification, and tracking rule changes and new case developments that affect firm practice.

  • J.D. required; admission to the California bar preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Managing Attorney/Clerk’s Office or similar role at a large law firm.
  • Proven supervision experience and strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with California state and federal court rules and procedures; experience with CM/ECF and California electronic filing systems.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-starter able to manage multiple deadlines and quality-control docketing systems.
