We are seeking a driven Associate (2–5 years PQE) to join our defence insurance team in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding, multi-award-winning practice, working in a modern, flexible, and collaborative environment.

You will handle a varied caseload across motor, disease, employers’ liability, and public liability claims, predominantly acting for insurance companies and self-insured commercial organisations. You will regularly appear in court, conduct investigations, take witness statements, review medical evidence, and manage files in line with client SLAs. You will also support partners in client relationships and business development, and contribute to the team’s technical excellence.

Experience in personal injury litigation is preferred; defence insurance experience is an advantage but not essential. This role offers the chance to lead in a developing area of law, with access to ongoing learning and development opportunities.

We offer hybrid working (two days in the office, three days from home).

2–5 years PQE in personal injury litigation
Experience of defence insurance claims is an advantage
Highly determined, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced team
Strong client service focus, including SLAs and MI reporting
Ability to manage a varied caseload and appear in court
Excellent drafting, communication, and file management skills
