Associate, Antitrust & Competition — Cologne

International- and nationally-focused law firm is seeking an Associate to join its Antitrust & Competition team in Cologne with a focus on distribution law matters. The role will involve advising clients on distribution agreements, vertical restraints, compliance with competition rules and related commercial arrangements.

The successful candidate will work on a mix of advisory and contentious matters, collaborating with colleagues across Germany and Europe. The position offers exposure to complex competition law issues and opportunities to develop a specialist practice in distribution and vertical relations.

• Qualified lawyer admitted in Germany (or equivalent qualification)
• Practical experience in antitrust/competition law, ideally with exposure to distribution law and vertical restraints
• Knowledge of EU competition law and German competition rules
• Fluent German and strong English skills; excellent drafting and analytical ability
