Apply in confidence →Growing US private client & tax practice seeks an experienced estate planning associate to join its Connecticut office. The role focuses on drafting bespoke estate planning documentation and supporting cross-border, high-net-worth planning matters within a collaborative team.
Typical work includes preparing wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, advanced wealth-transfer documents, powers of attorney, ancillary deeds and funding schedules, and assembling complete estate planning packages. The role also involves supporting trust administration and estate settlement matters as needed.
The position offers exposure to technical tax and trust planning, opportunities to refine templates and processes, and close collaboration with attorneys, advisers and clients on sophisticated estate strategies.
- Admission to the Connecticut or New York bar (willingness to obtain the other jurisdiction)
- Minimum 3+ years' post-qualification experience drafting estate planning documents in a law firm or specialist environment
- Strong technical knowledge of trusts, estate administration and tax planning for high-net-worth clients
- Excellent drafting, analytical and client-facing skills; comfort using estate-planning software and firm templates
