Apply in confidence →Current opportunity for an Associate (0–3 PQE) to join a commercial and regulatory energy sub-team on a full‑time, permanent, hybrid basis in the UK (London or Bristol preferred). The role sits within a wider Future Energy group and offers early responsibility and exposure across commercial, regulatory and transactional matters.
The post involves advising on energy offtake and route‑to‑market arrangements (including PPAs and battery optimisation), government support schemes and market mechanisms, regulatory and licence matters, grid connection and charging, heat networks and green gas arrangements. You will work closely with corporate, project finance and other teams across the firm.
The team offers structured development, a collaborative culture and the chance to work on projects supporting the energy transition and decarbonisation.
- Qualified solicitor (SRA or Law Society registered) with 0–3 PQE (or equivalent).
- Interest in the energy sector, preferably with experience of energy regulation and/or commercial/transactional work in the UK and/or Ireland.
- Strong analytical and drafting skills and confidence engaging with complex regulatory issues.
- Enjoys collaborative team working, intellectually curious and motivated to build a long‑term energy practice.
