Join a leading international law firm’s Energy & Infrastructure practice in Frankfurt, advising on cross-border M&A and other transactions at the intersection of digital infrastructure and energy. The team works on a wide range of projects including data-enabled energy platforms, smart metering roll-outs, renewables (solar, wind, batteries), trading and grid platforms, and datacentre/telecom infrastructure.

Responsibilities include reviewing project and contractual documentation, leading due-diligence workstreams, identifying commercial and regulatory risks (including merger control, investment screening and EU-level foreign subsidies issues), and contributing to deal structuring, drafting and negotiations. You will work closely with regulatory, tax and finance colleagues across jurisdictions.

The role offers early responsibility on high-frequency, sponsor-driven international transactions, exposure to senior decision-makers and access to the firm’s global industry networks and training programmes.

  • Two German state examinations (both completed)
  • Entry-level or early transactional/M&A experience, ideally with exposure to energy, energy-tech or infrastructure
  • Strong interest in technology and energy markets, and willingness to engage with Smart Metering, platforms and LegalTech/AI topics
  • Commercial mindset, structured working style and team-oriented approach; fluent English
